Weathering profile characterization is one of the significant information in interpretation condition rock. In addition, tropical climate Malaysia causes deep–seated weathering phenomena granitic The identification granite can be made using in–situ Schmidt hammer rebound test which non–destructive tests (NDT) that widely used. this study, carried out on rock Paya Terubong, Pulau Pinang. Based study conducted, value for each grade identified. fresh (Grade I) greater than 55, slightly weathered II) ranging from 35 – moderately III) 17 and highly IV) less 17. Completely V) residual soil VI) do not have any values. This method used as a very useful field to determine degree outcrops.
